March 2007 update March 21, 2007
Wow a lot has happened since the beginning of 2007! Pages and pages of details, anecdotes and treasured moments. But for those with attention deficit order or for those who, like me, pretend they do, here’s the readers digest version:
January
* I turned 37
* We went into escrow on our California abode
* Our precious belongings arrived from Los Angeles
* We fell out of escrow due to our buyers credit score of 37 (not much of an exaggeration).
* The kids experienced snow angels and hot chocolate for the first time in their lives.
* I discovered that L.A. congestion for an hour beats a two-hour commute to Toronto. Thankfully we’ll be in a new house closer to work soon…right?
February
* Zoë turned 4, had a princess party and no fewer than four “parties” with cake to celebrate. Who does she think she is? Paris Hilton?
* We started escrow with new buyers in California.
* Julie and I looked at almost 20 different houses in the Oakville area (between Toronto and Niagara).
* Roughly five feet of snow buried the town on Valentines Day - and we still managed to make it out for dinner.
* We fell out of escrow again - this time due to unscrupulous buyers who decided midway through the process that they wanted to offer $20K less than the purchase price. bye-bye.
March
* March came in like a lion - has yet to leave like a lamb.
* Zack turned two - he has no friends and therefore no parties. But we did get him a piñata.
* We entered escrow for the the third time - this one looks like a keeper.
* Julie and I fell in love with a gorgeous house and put a bid on it, conditional on the sale of our house in California. Six hours later the sellers accepted an offer with no conditions. Can’t blame them, we would have done the same.
* March Madness has begun an 7 out of my Elite 8 are still alive. Stupid stupid Texas.
* It’s supposed to be 15 degrees Celsius tomorrow - that’s almost 60 F for you Americans.
